Software Engineer Network Product Edge

Our growth is driving us to strengthen our Network Product Edge team to consolidate and scale our complex stacks while supporting the rapid adoption of our products.
Your mission will be to build, maintain, and evolve the software and infrastructure components of our Load Balancer and Edge Services platforms in order to deliver high-performance, secure, and scalable network solutions on our sovereign cloud.

You will be part of a team of 5 people where the Product Manager is an integral part of the group. We operate in Sprints and manage a rich technical ecosystem, including Load Balancer as a Service (L4/L7) and Edge Services (Caching, WAF). You will contribute to the design and implementation of new products like API Gateway and anti-DDoS solutions.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE
Tasks:

Design robust APIs and contribute to the definition of new service architectures.

Develop new features and evolve the stack for Load Balancer and Edge Services.

Manage and optimize the CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools.
-
Contribute to technical debt management, refactoring, and performance optimization.
-
Maintain the existing production stack and resolve complex bugs or technical incidents.
-
Perform code reviews and participate in team rituals to foster knowledge sharing.
-
Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to integrate network products across the Scaleway ecosystem.
-
Conduct technical studies and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for emerging network technologies.
ABOUT YOU
HARD SKILLS:
-
Golang is the preferred language. You should have at least some hands-on experience with Go, even if your primary language is Python, Rust or C++.

Good experience in DevOps practices (Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Gitlab CI/CD).

At ease with Linux operating system: administration, fine tuning, troubleshooting.

Knowledge of Networking fundamentals (TCP, TLS, HTTP, Load Balancing, WAF).
-
Experience with database and messaging systems (PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ).
-
Familiarity with Observability and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
