The team

Join our Crypto team to help integrate Kraken’s systems with an ever-expanding universe of cryptocurrencies and blockchains. This team is responsible for developing & supporting crypto operations including deposits, withdrawals & staking.

As a member of this team, your focus is on protecting client funds. You will be responsible for building systems that communicate with various blockchains to enable the timely processing of client transactions, while also ensuring the safety and security of all funds on the exchange.

 

The opportunity

  • Integrate our existing systems with exciting new blockchains

  • Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, super secure applications and data protection systems

  • Write highly scalable, high volume services

  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code

  • Design and optimize database schemas

  • Own, develop and maintain existing crypto services

 

Skills you should HODL

  • At least 3 years of backend development experience

  • Generalist knowledge of layer-1 blockchain development

  • Strong backend development experience, with proficiency in Typescript (Node.js) and/or Rust

  • Deep understanding of cryptographic concepts and scalable application design

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Temporal and GNU/Linux environments

  • Proficiency in code versioning tools (Git) and experience with automated testing frameworks

  • Passion for secure, privacy-focused blockchain solutions and a general interest in cryptocurrencies

  • Resilience and adaptability in rapidly evolving technical landscapes

  • Strong AI proficiency is highly desirable.
