Accountabilities:
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions. You will be responsible for building autonomous AI capabilities, improving system performance, and creating scalable workflows that combine AI-driven automation with human validation.
- Design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI agents to automate virtual pre-construction, building plan interpretation, and estimation workflows.
- Build agentic AI workflows capable of extracting information, understanding geometry, identifying materials, and executing multi-step estimation processes.
- Develop AI-powered solutions that reduce manual effort and accelerate complex operational workflows.
- Integrate modern AI technologies and LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Claude Code, AutoGen, and similar tools into production environments.
- Apply computer vision, robotics concepts, and spatial reasoning techniques to interpret drawings and 3D digital models.
- Design Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflows that enable effective AI output review and validation.
- Build and optimize high-performance software solutions using C++ and other performance-oriented technologies where required.
- Integrate AI applications with cloud platforms, APIs, and internal systems to support seamless automation.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, accuracy, and deterministic AI performance.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and technical teams to research, test, and implement emerging AI technologies.
- Create technical documentation covering architecture, workflows, and development practices to support future improvements.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has strong experience developing AI-powered applications and scalable software systems. You should combine deep technical expertise in machine learning and software engineering with the ability to solve complex automation challenges in a collaborative remote environment.
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Applied AI Engineer, Robotics Engineer, or similar technical role.
- Strong programming experience in C++ or other performance-oriented languages such as Rust or C#, with knowledge of systems programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience building AI applications using Python and modern machine learning frameworks.
- Experience developing autonomous AI agents and LLM-based workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Claude Code, AutoGen, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, prompt engineering, and AI agent architectures.
- Experience with robotics, computer vision, spatial reasoning, reinforcement learning, or autonomous systems is highly valuable.
- Knowledge of API development, cloud platforms, and scalable software architecture.
- Experience designing Human-in-the-Loop workflows or AI-assisted automation solutions.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to automate complex processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- A portfolio demonstrating previous AI engineering projects is required.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Experience with CAD, BIM, 3D models, digital twins, or computational geometry.
- Background in computer vision applied to architectural drawings, spatial data, or similar domains.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
