This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accelerator Program - Software Engineer (Cryptography) based in India.

Kick-start your career with an immersive accelerator program focused on advanced cryptography and blockchain innovation. This opportunity is designed for early-career researchers and engineers who are eager to work on cutting-edge cryptographic technologies with real-world applications. You'll collaborate with experienced specialists on research initiatives involving post-quantum cryptography, zero-knowledge proofs, threshold protocols, and blockchain security while gaining valuable industry experience. The role combines academic rigor with practical software engineering, offering exposure to emerging technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you're passionate about cryptographic research and building the future of secure decentralized systems, this program provides an excellent foundation for long-term career growth.

Accountabilities

  • Conduct research on advanced cryptographic protocols, including post-quantum cryptography, threshold signatures, signature aggregation, and blockchain proof systems.
  • Explore, benchmark, and evaluate NIST post-quantum cryptographic standards alongside emerging cryptographic techniques from academic research.
  • Collaborate with senior researchers and software engineers to transform theoretical research into practical, production-oriented cryptographic solutions.
  • Develop prototypes, contribute to technical implementations, and support the integration of research outcomes into blockchain-related applications.
  • Analyze academic publications, interpret security proofs, and assess the applicability of new cryptographic constructions.
  • Contribute to research publications, technical documentation, and open-source cryptographic projects where appropriate.
  • Continuously explore new technologies, tools, and AI-assisted research techniques to improve research efficiency and innovation.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Cryptography, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Strong theoretical or practical understanding of modern cryptography, including post-quantum signatures, multi-party computation (MPC), threshold cryptography, zero-knowledge proofs, or interactive proof systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Rust, C++, or Python.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and reason about cryptographic security proofs from academic literature.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and research-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and research teams.
  • Previous research experience or publications in cryptography-related fields are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with blockchain architectures, smart contracts, decentralized systems, or on-chain cryptographic verification is considered an advantage.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to support research and software development workflows is a plus.

Benefits

  • Paid accelerator program designed for current students and recent graduates.
  • Hands-on experience working on advanced blockchain and cryptography research projects.
  • Mentorship from experienced researchers and software engineers.
  • Opportunities to expand your professional network through learning and development activities.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in cryptography, blockchain, and Web3.
  • Competitive compensation and applicable program benefits.
  • Flexible work-from-home arrangement, depending on team requirements.
  • Opportunity to develop transferable technical and research skills that support long-term career growth.
